I suppose I can understand that this series wouldn't be for everyone but I also struggle to understand why the average rating is so much lower than the Realm of the Elderlins. I loved everything this was doing. It is slow and strange but so emotionally satisfying and I loved the way it explores the themes of colonisation and lack of control.
