I wasn't sure that I was going to like a cowboy romance for a couple of reasons :

1. I'm from Oklahoma and went to college with a bunch of cowboys
2. I read a different cowboy romance and it didn't really do it for me
Boy was I wrong! Apparently I do like cowboy romances. I'm here for the southern drawls,  cowboy boots, sweet tea, cute farm animals, and rugged cowboys.

This is book does cover some tough topics, so make sure to read your trigger warnings. However, I thought they were all handled accurately and with care. I loved watching Jensen step into his role as a new dad and seeing how he navigated all of the twists and turns. I married a single dad, so even though it's not over of my favorite tropes I do have a soft spot for them. πŸ˜‰

Briar was the sweetest soul, and her friend group was so fun. The text chains were hilarious, and made me want to be part of their friend group. The somewhat slow burn between Briar and Jensen have this book some great tension, and the bond Briar and Caleb shared was touching. I loved all of the different relationships and connections in this book. It really was about more than just Briar and Jensen.

I thought this book had the perfect amount of spice. Not too spicy, but definitely not sweet. There is a good chance this book will get you in your feels. There are quite a few touching moments . bit didn't make me cry, but I could see how it might be a possibility for one. It definitely had me sighing, kicking my heels, and swooning.
