The story is very good, I liked it. The problem is that no editor went through that french, it was just horrible: syntax, grammar, words that don’t exist and the accents were playing musical chairs; the Québécois slang is mainly good though. Too bad because this is about unions and I work for one so I was very interested. Hope this publisher Scribner learns that publishing bad french was not acceptable in 2022. It’s funny in a way that they didn’t pay someone to do it right with the subject matter of the book being about workers earning the right amount for their labour.
