4.5 ⭐️ So much anticipation and build up for their story and it did not disappoint. I loved the flashbacks. My heart broke for their teenage selves and I wanted to strangle them both. It was around the 40% mark that I was getting a bit tired of both of them. The rollercoaster as Sloane called it was getting on *my* nerves. I think they took the cliche route of “let’s just have sex to get it out of our systems.” That may work with strangers, but not childhood friends who have clearly always loved each other. But when Lucian decided he was all in, I loved how he just kinda bulldozed his way into Sloane’s life and never looked back. Overall there are a lot of similarities that happen in each book, so some things weren’t surprising like they were in book 1. But their friends to enemies to lovers story is one for the ages. The epilogue brought happy tears and I wish I was there to peep their lives.
