I've been stuck in a killer reading slump lately, but The Villain and Evie have really reignited my interest in reading. Their dynamic is captivating. Evie's like a chaotic tornado, shaking things up around the Villain. The ending of this book took me by surprise! While I was initially leaning towards a 3-star rating, the last 100 pages bumped it up to a solid 4. Evie resonates with me on a deep level. While many characters possess qualities we admire, I admire how the author fully embraces Evie's quirky, awkward traits—ones we all share—and lets them shine. I can't wait for the next book!
