If you're interested in the human condition, here is your hell and here is your paradise.
You'll never meet anyone better, or anyone worse.
And you'll probably meet yourself in those pages, who you are and who you could become.

Big book, biggest characters, huge message. Biblical.

The plot is breathtaking, and the social observations are really interesting. They go hand in hand.
I'm so glad I read the full version, even if it gets tedious sometimes, it has to be read.

Now, after 1632 pages read, I don't close that book to just put it on my shelves: I need to read about Hugo, the impact this book had, and process so many notes.
