The Crowns of Croswald

Thanks to the publisher for providing this book in exchange for an honest review.
This story is way to similar to Harry Potter, it has the same plot: an orphan girl lives with a person that doesn’t love her or care about her, until one day she receives a letter inviting her to assist a magic school. Then, we discover that she is someone special and needs protection from a evil queen.
The book is really descriptive, I feel that there is more description that plot. It was really hard to pick up the pace of the reading , the first part, for me, was eternal, too much description for my taste. On the second half of the book, when Ivy, our protagonist, stars classes, the story stars to keep up the pace; however, I felt that everything happened too fast and everything comes so easy for Ivy.
I never felt that much connection with the characters, because I didn’t feel that they have addressed or mentioned enough about their feelings and emotions, that's why I couldn’t crear a connection with them. However, I think this group of three has the potential to explore and develop.
I believe this book is more suited for children and that this story will work really well for them, it has a well developed magic world and a easy to understand plot, that is why I think is a good introduction to the fantasy reading for kids.
Finally, I think the best of the book is the world building, that is amazing, on the contrary, the characters and the plot are too weak for my liking.
