I hate leaving a series unfinished so I forged ahead with this one despite my better judgement. I was not rewarded. This book felt like a book for people who don't read and just want smut. There were so many sex scenes and it got so boring. The redeeming part came from the only emotionally charged section of the book, which was when the MC is

being tortured by one of the professors.

Which she barely experiences PTSD from outside of feeling nervous in a dark space ONCE. And if I have to read another line about "the boy who I climbed trees with", I'll scream. That can not be the only memory she has of this boy she grew up with.

Once again, the overt use of modern day slang and curses really took me out of it. Wouldn't read again.
