Normally I’d hate a book with a vague ending; I like all the loose ends to be tied up in a neat little bow at the end. This is the very epitome of a book with an unclear and vague ending. The narrator (as well as every other character in the book) is wildly unreliable, so by the end, you really have no idea what events actually took place and what events were lies or stories told by the characters.  The true horror of this book isn’t the expected vivid/ graphic imagery of other possession-based novels; instead, the most horrifying aspect of this book is how most of the events in the book could happen. This book left me with a pit in my stomach after reading it, and I absolutely loved it.
