I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

challenging reflective fast-paced

3.75

I held off on reading this memoir, despite numerous recommendations, as I was reluctant to read about some of the harder topics this book covers. The short chapters read like glimpses of memory and I found that structure allowed for a
lighter covering of challenging issues without glossing over them.

I don’t think it’s the must-read some claim it to be, if you’re not able to handle the topics in this book, you’re not missing out if you don’t read it, but it is an interesting insight into a young life that is unique in some ways, but universal in others.
