I thought the style was of writing and organization was not traditional and worked perfectly for this story. Going back in time by members of matrilineal line was super interesting and comparing the different experiences was thoughtfully done. Also like that the book ends on a lyrical note. Not so much a story (since there isn’t any resolution) but different excerpts and interwoven bits of time
