For years, this has been my favorite book. I read it again recently and I remembered why i loved this book so much. There's just something about Fitzgerald's writing style that speaks so deeply to me. Maybe it's the introspective and descriptive writing of the author. Also it doesn't drag or feel repetitive. If I had to mention something bad, I would've liked a little more depth to the secondary characters, since they felt flat sometimes.
I enjoyed seeing things unfold from Nick's pov because he's an outsider and has this innocent kind approach to life, so we are affected when he is, and naturally see that glow of Gatsby because Nick sees him like that. He has him in such high regard, therefore we do too. We admire and love him because of this grandiose image Nick shows us of Jay, which is a consequence of Fitzgerald's storytelling. Anyway, loved this book.
