This book doesn't sell itself well, honestly. The blurb is a birds-eye-view of the narrative woven by this story. The important thing for you to know before jumping into this book is the narrative structure is one you haven't seen before. As living breathing beings we are used to a consistent time-frame with a continuous experience. This book suggests a story in which the protagonist experience discontinuity, and must grapple with it. A short story that is worth reading in a weekend.

P.S. Look into the other books in this short story's series, titled "The Sunflower Cycle", if you enjoyed this one. They add to the story, but only minorly so. This book can be enjoyed on its own, as well
