The Girl in the Red Coat by Iris Von Finckenstein, Roma Ligocka
4.0

I picked this up randomly, and I have to admit, didn't expect the directions it went. She was a very little girl during the Holocaust, so her memories are fragmentary at best. I liked getting to see the post-war period, and found that fascinating. The parts when she is an adult are (as so often happens) simply not as interesting, but still kept me moving forward. The Spielberg connection was tenuous at best and just felt weirdly tacked on to me. Still, overall a fascinating book.
