really enjoyed this!! much to consider and pick apart. made a lot of notes of things i want to go back and look into a little more and of things that reminded me of more recent media, things that might not be explicitly jekyll and hyde adaptations but which definitely draw some influence from it, whether intentionally or not. i think it’s fascinating that we don’t actually get the perspective of the titular character

until the very end, at which point all we get from him are his last words.
