I’m committed to finishing this series because I need to get to Rose’s book — she's the real MVP in my eyes. As for Lachlan and Lark, I had mixed feelings. Lachlan was a bit too broody and emotionally closed off, and the Lark felt a little all over the place — her mood swings made it hard to connect with her. The plot itself was pretty predictable, and I was really hoping for more suspense or a twist to shake things up. It wasn’t a terrible read, just not one that will be memorable.
