Honestly, struggled with the length of the book at first but as it progressed and I pushed through I fell in love with the beauty of this story. It's a powerful illustration of God's love for us and the story of Hosea. It was hard for read and graphic at time, which could be a trigger for some but it is so different from the stereotypical Christian fiction out there.

Edited: the more I have thought about this book, the more I don’t like it. It’s way to graphic and is one I would never pick up or recommend again. Anyone who has been through a sexual trauma, abuse, assault etc. would not be able to read this. Yes the story is powerful and beautiful at times, but it’s stuck with me in a bad way.
