Border Songs by Jim Lynch

3.5

Normally multi-narrator books are my favourite but in this case I felt that the time spent on characters other than Brandon really dulled what was otherwise an intriguing and unique story. Brandon’s perspective and his connection with nature are so compelling and his character is well crafted. Many of the other characters were not only uninteresting but unsympathetic as well. Overall, this was an interesting book to pick up randomly 15 years after it was written, when its premise is more relevant than ever before.
