As presented by PG, Margaret Beaufort is completely unlikeable and surely one of the most narcissistic characters I’ve ever read about.  Initially I felt bad for her, with an unloving mother, married at 12 and giving birth soon after.

But she is single minded in her belief that her son is intended by God to be king and she devoted her life to praying and scheming in pursuit of that.

I was entertained by this over the top portrayal.
