This is the book that made me feel the most
This is a story of a strong woman, Kaleo, whose career and life got turned upside down after a car crash that has left her with chronic pain. On her journey of learning how to walk again, her mother passes away and her paternal side of the family does everything in their power to try and take the house that was left to Kaleo by her grandfather. She is left with these medications that have the worst side effects and she still lives in pain. Kaleo, rightfully so, does not trust anyone. She uses men for gratification and does not want to open herself up to the possibility of being hurt by someone that says they care about her.
Enter: Guy, Stephen, Kerry, and Nadeem. They want to show Kaleo the love she deserves. They know that she is going to be very hesitant and for fear of her shutting them down before they get the chance to show her love, they decide to keep the plans between the 4 of them. Her men start to slowly break the walls that she has set up. Kaleo starts to show a side that these men start to crave more and more of.
This is a story of love, truly dedicated love. I have chronic pain and this book was such amazing representation. I'm literally crying thinking about it. The Kaleo really depicts the way I talk to myself when I'm in pain. There's a spicy scene where she gets a flare up and pushes the men away and that hit close to home. This is a book of redemption and trying to accept your worth and love even if you don't want to. This is a book I refuse to hear anything bad about. I love this story so much
