The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin

4.0

I don't even know what to say. I feel bad for nearly every single character. This is some solid world building and great character writing. My favorite part was the use of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person narratives and how the story melds with those POV parameters. It makes it feel so cleanly devised, and it perfectly distinguishes through different narratives. It's really well done.
Often times very well written, and other times NK Jemisin says, "the earth farts," too many times. But fr, great book.
If you love fantastical fiction with a world and characters that work very well with each other, this book is a MUST read. I'm serious, this book needs to be on the "want-to-read" list of anyone who enjoys fantasy or complicated moral narratives.

TL:DR - Exemplary fantasy, will continue to finish the trilogy, pls read if you like/hate rocks
