My favorite part about this book was the cat. Otherwise, since it is a fantasy, I always expect more out of the female lead. Meghan was just a weak and boring character. She had a few moments where I hoped by the end of the book she would be haulin' ass but it didn't happen. The two male leads left much to be desired as well. They were both just plain and kind of leaning more on the asshole side. I found the majority of the characters to just be un-likeable. I did really like Grimalkins sass though. Who doesn't love sassy cats?
The world itself was interesting though I really didn't get into the book until about 120 pages in. It was okay and I may pursue reading the other books in the quartet but it isn't high on the priority list.
