The main character and love interest are both insufferable, and at no point did I find myself rooting for them or the relationship. The adventure aspect was decent but every bit of conflict was resolved almost immediately, so the stakes never felt high.
The author is also a terrible person with some awful views, which I only found out after I'd bought this book :/
