The hunger games is a futuristic adventure book where North America is completely corrupt and 12 districts live in poverty while one capital lives in comfort. Every year, the capital takes one boy and girl from each district to fight to the death in an arena. This year a 16 year old girl named Katniss Everdeen gets drafted to the hunger games and finds herself in a life or death situation, will she survive? One thing I liked about this book is that the plot is super creative and Suzanne Collins (author) perfectly balances strong emotions with intense action scenes that had me flipping pages at a constant rate. One thing I disliked about the book is the way the capital treats some districts better than others which is kind of unrealistic. But that is just a minor infraction in my book. This is one of the best books I have read in a while. I honestly had a hard time thinking of a mistake about the book. Easy 5/5
