The Scent of Guilt by Tony J. Forder

5.0

An elderly woman is found murdered and Bliss is called back to his old station after 12 years and a dark cloud.
He is given the case over a DCI which goes down as well as youd expect it to!
However Bliss reassembles his team, some on reputation and some he knows and they go to work.
One of his oldest friends Penny comes to talk to a rape victim in un unrelated case.
An unexpected phonecall from a cop in America sends Bliss off to investigate what could be a copycat crime, although the similarities are remarkable.
The little sojourn to the states is a brilliant aside, with lots of action and a nice little blossoming potential love story. Lots of banter which is genuinely laugh out loud funny.
When Bliss lands back in the UK its breathtaking and non stop until the end. The 2 baddies actually made me feel sick, they are that well written.
I randomly read the second in series so im bow going to read the rest and add another author to my must read. You should too.
