I have a lot of feelings regarding this book, and mostly, it's in its editing. The vast majority of this book is dialog, and there isn't one instance where quotation marks were used! I honestly found this so incredibly distracting.
Otherwise. The story is important but a struggle to get through.  Contemplated DNFing many times, but at about 80% in, I FINALLY got into it.
The story matter in and of itself is harrowing and tragic. Mennonite community of women who are being raped/assaulted by the men in their community while they sleep. The women are meeting to discuss how to address this issue. We see the different personalities and opinions of these women as they hash out their options in a hay loft.
The majority of the book is conversation about the womens 3 options and we get no where until the last 20%.
