I pretty much thought this novel was trash. it was cliché, predictable, and it was incredibly uninspired. The author felt the need to spell out every decision her characters made throughout the story instead of allowing the reader to wonder and infer on their own. A lot of phrases were overused and a lot of advanced words felt very out of place. I thought the sex scene was supposed to convey something powerful for our main very traumatised heroine but it just read like a cheap erotica novel. And the descriptive rapes and torture felt like it crossed the line from "look what she went through" to "this is what the killer likes and why he's so perverse". But we don't need to know why, we already know what the killer is capable of from what he did. Anyway, I thought this book was awful.
