Akira, Vol. 3 by Katsuhiro Otomo

4.0

Okay I bored during a lot of this volume compared to the last two, there was a lot of politics and it was starting to get really confusing, but the last quarter of the volume really pulled up my rating of the book. I loved the art in volume 1 and 2 but the art in this volume tops all of it, the attention to detail even in massive scenes makes Neo-Tokyo feel gritty and real. Every volume so far has ended with an even more cataclysmic event but this one takes the cake.
