What do you do when you have kept everyone's secrets only for yours to be exposed?

Desdemona has clawed her way out of the trenches and made a good life for herself, even though it may not have been on the right side of the law. But that was two years ago, and now she's closed that chapter and begun a new one as a college student and high-end boutique owner. She believes everything is going great until she gets a call from her employee to come into the store due to an "issue." Little does she know that the "issue" is the police, who were informed of her former life. Now, Desdemona has to face her past, all while trying to keep her present together.

This is my first book from Niobia Bryant, and I loved it. To see someone come thru so many obstacles and then realize they have to find a way thru the darkness of the past is what I loved the most. This story isn't anything like mine, but the theme of finding oneself and who you are is one I think many people, especially women, will be able to relate to.
