Cities of salt offers a perspective that is often overlooked. That said, the especially the start of the book had me hooked. I was immersed in the desert mood. As the book progressed and character came and went, I lost connection to the many introduced characters.
In summary the book offers a unique perspective but comes a little short of tying the story and tge characters together.
