Did not finish book. Stopped at 14%.

God. The pacing in this book is /so/ off. The main relationship of this book jumps to present and erotic right off the bat. I’m not saying every book needs a slow burn, but I’m saying that it feels odd that my first introduction to this relationship I’m supposed to be cheering for starts with one rubbing off the other. Other people comment the amount of untranslated languages in this book, and even as a enjoyer of language and etymology myself, it made me… not want to read. Odd, but just because it’s not my vibe doesn’t mean it couldn’t be someone else’s. In conclusion I don’t know how to feel.
