There is just something so nostalgic about reading something that you loved on your teen years and still loving it as an adult. I cannot even begin to describe how many times I read these books as a teenager, at least several times a year. They were my comfort place and then I just got to a place that I just stopped. But then i seen LitJoy doing a special edition box set of them and I just had to have them. Even if they weren't as good as I remembered them to be at least having them and seeing them on my shelf would remind me of that bit of happiness that they brought me all those years ago even if they weren't as good as I remembered them to be.

I think the best part of rereading them as an adult especially with these editions is all the author notes written in the margins. I just have to laugh sometimes at her commentary about her own books.

On to reviewing the book: Rose is one of my favorite characters in books and I have grown to judge every FMC against her in my adult life she just made that much of an impact on me. As well as Dimitri he was one of the first "book boyfriends" that stuck with me and a lot over the years have fallen flat in his wake.

I love the relationship between him and Rose. As well as Rose and Lissa. There is so much growth between all of them. Not only in this book but in the entire series and I can't wait to reexperience it.
