The Noel Letters by Richard Paul Evans
4.0
I flew through this book! It was such a beautiful and easy read. While I can't say I was that much of a fan of Noel everything else about this book makes up for her. I just feel for her age she was extremely naive to let things go on far as long as she did. She was extremely young when her mother died, and I just feel at some point after becoming an adult that she would have actually TALKED to her father about it. I mean as an adult most see that what they remember from childhood can be extremely skewed for reality. Other than that, I loved the story. I loved the letters and I loved Dylan. Wendy was a bit much though and I kind of hate how the father had two women in love with him like that, it was just weird and made the story feel off near the end. Grace was an amazing character and the twist with her near the end was unexpected, which made the story that much better. It's a sad story at points but does have a lot of heart. Great Christmas time read that is a tad similar to Dickin's a Christmas Carol.
