This is a really good short story, and the art accentuates it nicely. Despite the length, it's not long enough to call novella, really. You'll read it within an hour or two. But it packs a good punch. And in so few pages, he can bring a small town to life. I must say, though, that the dad is really over the top.
I do wonder why King had so much fat-phobia in his early works, not to mention women who are sad because they don't attract men. The narrative would be so much better without that.
