So I went into this book thinking it was going to be about one thing, and it turned into a completely different, slightly more underwhelming, thing. Still an interesting read, though. Reminded me of a cross between the book [b:House of Leaves|337907|House of Leaves|Mark Z. Danielewski|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1494697179s/337907.jpg|856555]
Spoiler(dark, cavernous spaces that seem infinite and are full of mysterious noises and absent of light)
and vaguely asked the same philosophical questions as the film Prometheus
Spoiler(regarding the crux of creationism vs. evolution, and higher life forms/aliens using a "cradle of life" or "ark" to populate a planet with species).
