This adaptation and fantasy reimagining of Viking age sagas sounded so interesting to me. The magic system and mythology references were also fascinating. My main issue with this book is in the lack of resolution for the two female main characters who were supposed to have sworn an oath of allegiance to one another. In the end neither was what I’d call a “girls girl”. Oh well, it was still a nice enough story and I appreciated the authors note about her inspiration and research.
