The Navajo Nightmare by David Sodergren, Steve Stred

4.0

"As so often with blasphemous acts, it all started on a Sunday. Truly if God has peace and righteousness on his side, then the devil has the best sense of humor."

Charles was a quick draw, on the wrong side of the law. Mary was a brothel working girl, suffering abuse by some of the men.
Now they are family. They move across the plains with their young son, searching for a new start, a home to call their own. Hoping to live a quiet life.

The family has an ill-fated run in with a disrespectful and hot headed gang of crooks. Charles protects his family not knowing it has exacted a retaliation, and what occurs is a deadly deed.

Charles seeks revenge, and makes an ungodly pact. But he doesn't understand the severity until it's too late. His soul is now not his own.
He becomes- The Navajo Nightmare.

And the hunt to end the Nightmare has begun.

I loved everything about this story! I had so much fun reading it! Brought me back to the good old days of watching western movies and shows with my dad. Gunsmoke, Lonesome Dove, The Cowboys, and of course he loved good old Clint Eastwood. The big difference here is that it is a Horror Western, blood, guts and gore, and supernatural demonic elements. It is just soooo dang good!! I also love the inclusion of the introduction and afterward, it adds that personal touch!

"The countryside unraveled it's beauty before the riders like a dropped spool of thread. Rivers flowed, hills jutted up, and valleys sprawled before them. A mix of green and brown colored the horizon, separated in places by the blue brush stroke of water." (That is pure beauty right there)!

Immerse yourselves in this nightmarish western! It's worthy!
