These poems are a gorgeous look into Cisneros’ maturation and reflection. A touching portrayal of life and death and life again. Seeing her view of Mexican life and culture was gorgeous and illuminating in ways I wasn’t expecting from this work! As a fan of Cisneros’ novels this was a fantastic entry into her poetry.
