American Queen by Sierra Simone

my goodness is the sequel series so much better. tristan was given a back story and reason for the way he is. isolde is also given a reason. mark is still a mystery at this point. in this series both men meet greer and are obsessed. i thought mark was weird for marrying someone he saw grow up but my goodness is ash worse for thinking and fantasizing about a sixteen year old. kissing her right after finding out she’s sixteen. and then im hit with the sister fucking…..

i don’t get why the author is so into barely legal/underage girls being with older men. it’s not only simone that does this tbh most authors of romance seem to think it’s okay or the very least think it’s a dynamic they enjoy writing.

we went from one sex scene to another. we were told what ash was and never shown. greer never experience these men day to day. not to mention i don’t know greer. i don’t know ash. i don’t know emory. all the characters are cardboard cutouts. you might say they are other books to explore the characters but this books is set up for the next books to be more political and separating the trio. that’s a problem bec i genuinely don’t care. when we get moment of them interacting it quickly got sexual. they are definitely not a president or a vp i would vote for.

i will not cont and i’ll stick to the sequel.
