The Guest List

If it wasn't for the audiobook, I wouldn't got through it.
When I picked up this novel as my next read, I anticipated a fast-paced, tense mystery/thriller. It wasn't. When I started reading it, and I got to like chapter 6, and it was from the 6th different character's pov, I was like... come on *rolling eyes*
I found the story extremely slow. It was a serious drama, and not because of a murder - literally all of the characters carried some serious emotional weight from their pasts. I really wasn't in the mood for this.
About 75% through it, it started to remind me of [b:Big Little Lies|33516773|Big Little Lies|Liane Moriarty|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1559835163l/33516773._SY75_.jpg|27570886] - only it is a very poor imitation of that brilliant book. Around the same time, it got really ridiculous - you wouldn't imagine how small the world was, until you found out that one and only person is responsible for every tragedy that ever happened in the world. DUH.
