Ethan by Ella Frank

4.0

"First, there was her papa—he was a lawyer, and a badass one at that. Then there was her père, who just so happened to be one of the most famous chefs in the world. Last but certainly not least was her dad, who not only ran and organized their entire lives, but was also the most fabulous human being on the planet."

Yaaass for the second-gen of Chicagoverse! reading this felt like going home. Yes, it was that dramatic for me, haha!

I loved seeing the married life interaction of my favorite throuple- Robbie, Julien, and Priest, as much as I loved getting to know Chloé, their daughter.

Even though the new sub-series starts with Ethan, 1/3 of the intriguing couple we are about to meet, the book also included POV's for all three of them, Ethan, Zayne, and Chloé.

Ethan and Zayne's chemistry is great! I do see a semblance of their younger situations from Julien and Priest's though.
Spoiler
For me, it made sense that Chloé would be drawn to such an arrangement because of her fathers, but I was just a bit unsure about the BDSM trope for them, especially for Chloé. And 19 sounds too young to be caught up in such a kink - again, this is based on my opinion. I would've wanted to know more about why Chloé thinks she wanted/needed to be a submissive. I know that Ella tried to show that, but with the fast pacing of the book, there wasn't too much build-up for me to get behind.

I like all their characters, but not all three of them together - not yet. I hated not being able to rate this book a 5-star, but I just couldn't.
