Dark Whispers by Debra Webb

4.0

This was a very good and very atypical book.
As a hero, Clint was not what you would think him to be. He worked his way through law school as an escort and was denied his licence to practice law because of it. After that he became a cop and during this story a private investigator.
As far as the heroine (Natalie) and the mystery are concerned; they were atypical as well. Natalie suffers from a traumatic brain injury and has trouble remembering things that have happened to her. As such, she at first has a hard time believing that any of the mysterious things that happened to her are not hallucinations caused by her injury. Then she has a hard time remembering attempts on her life before her injury and valuable information that could tell her why someone would want her dead.
