Utterly underwhelming. I gave 1 because I actually managed to go through it without dropping it altogether and another 0.5 because I liked the first chapter. It was a strong opening for a book that, in the end, was disappointing at best. I'm not even mentioning the romance part because it got me cringing right from the start. 

I don't recommend this! I think I won't even be watching the movie - and not just because I'm not fond of slasher movies, but because I'm sure it'd be as disappointing as the novel
