I liked the premise of this book and found it quite relatable, which made for a more insightful and reflective read. The main character, Tori, is a self-help author and influencer, yet she is deeply insecure, stuck in a loveless relationship and annoyed at everyone around her.

The major themes of this book were online vs offline lives, age-related life expectations and relationships. As a single girl, I can fully relate to Tori’s feelings of jealousy towards friend and acquaintances who constantly post about the next milestone in their life. However, she was also stuck in that vicious cycle of maintaining a ‘perfect’ life on social media and not being authentic, which I found quite ironic and hypocritical because of her career.

This book felt very predictable and I wasn’t super attached to any of the characters, hence my rating (3.5 stars) but it was also super easy to read, very relatable and quite funny. My favourite quote from the book which truly spoke to me was: ‘It's not fair to set people tests and then get annoyed when they fail them.’ I need to take this advice on board when I get upset at my own made up expectations and hopes.
