This is a perfectly fine book about going to the library. I’m unfamiliar with the song.
I will agree with other readers who pointed out all the classics selected by the girl during her visit. If you are looking for a more diverse library selection in a picture book, read Dreamers by Yuyi Morales. The library visited by the mother and child in that book features a variety of diverse authors.
