Feels Like Home by Melissa Grace

4.0

Feels like Home, the fourth book in Melissa Grace’s Midnight in Dallas universe. Even though this can be read as a standalone, reading the first three books in the series is very helpful (they are very, very good!).

I’ve always loved Katie in the first books of the series, and I’m so glad we got her friends-to-lovers story with Dallas, the former drummer of Midnight in Dallas. Katie and Dallas were both in crossroads moments in their lives, with the future of the bakery in flux and Dallas trying to figure out his future beyond his band. Both characters have long cared for each other as friends and didn’t want to risk losing each other if they went for more. I devoured this book in less than 24 hours and really enjoyed their story. It is worth noting that you will want to take the author’s note/CWs with great care. This book follows a journey of chronic pain/illness and the emotional toll of seeking a diagnosis.
