I'm glad this wasn't as sad as I thought it would be. It definitely hit closer to home because I recently lost a family friend to pancreatic cancer. The only thing I find wrong with this book is the insta love between Lian and Serene. I did like how it wasn't so teeny bopper like many other YA romances. I enjoyed the plot and conversations between characters. Definitely a good read with well executed cultural representation.
