It took me a bit to get into the story because the writing style was a bit weird. I really enjoyed the middle part of the book and liked the strangeness of Mori, Katsu and Thaniel. At first I liked Grace's character but towards the ending she started to really annoy me, luckily there weren't many chapters from her pov. The ending, in style with the rest of the book, was also a bit weird. However I seemed to be in the mood for this kind of story and had an enjoyable reading experience. I did go into this book knowing barely anything and I think that helped with me having a great time reading this.

I discovered that this is the first one in a trilogy. I do think I will read the other but I'm curious to see if the second book continues where this one left off or if it starts a whole new story.
