This is book two in the Inside the Maelstrom duet, and the conclusion to Aviva and her mens’ story. By the end of the book I was satisfied with the resolution of every storyline—

although Nemo’s was bittersweet

—sans one.

Senator Kenley got off easy. Technically he payed for his actions with his life, but he never had to actually suffer. I would have been mollified if he died with his reputation and career in complete shreds, but nooooo he died with both intact after the court found him “not guilty” of any of the heinous monstrous crimes he committed.
