The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins
3.0

Jane is running away from her past when she finds herself working as a dog walker in a fancy, gated community. There she meets Eddie, a recently widow through his wife's tragic, if mysterious, death. Of course, they begin a relationship - and only once she's living with him does Jane start to think things might not be as they seem...⁣

Sometimes thrillers are a bit of a wave for me - depending on when I read them & if I've read a really good one shortly beforehand, I can be less impressed than I might be at other times. There's nothing about this book that I can pin point as being less exciting - it was twisty, I didn't guess the ending - but I wasn't as into it as I have been with other thrillers. Still think it's worth the read!
